Cold Beef – Everyone has their beef stored in either the fridge or freezer. A good tip is to let the beef sit out for an hour and get to room temperature before cutting or cooking. Cold beef is harder to cut. Also, old beef doesn’t cook evenly.
Storing in Fridge – Before you wrap a cooked item and store it in the fridge let it cool down to room temp. Warm food can actually affect the temperature of the fridge causing other foods to suffer.
Storing Chicken – Make sure to store chicken on the bottom shelf. This will prevent it from accidently dripping on other items in your refrigerator. Liquids from uncooked chicken can cause illness if consumed.
Burned Pan – If you accidently burned something in your favorite frying pan and are stuck with a caked on burnt mess, try using baking soda to clean it. Baking soda and a little hot water may be the help you are looking for.
Freezing – Make sure items you freeze are as flat as possible. This way the item freezes evenly. Also, this helps make room in your freezer.
